Panda Plushie l Crochet Pattern 🐼🎋

Hello, to whoever stumbled onto this pattern! This is my first freehanded amigurumi pattern, so there might be some mistakes/errors. If there are any, please put them down in the comments. Feel free to make any modifications (size, yarn, accessories, etc.)! I hope you enjoy this pattern and your new plushie! ʕ｡- ˕ -｡ʔ

Materials I Used

• Make sure to double strand your yarn! 

• Acrylic yarn, (Recommended Weight: 4)

• White  -  Face & Part of body

• Black - Eye spots/patches, ears, nose, & body parts

• 6.0mm crochet hook 

• Safety eyes (optional)

• Hot Glue Gun 

• Stuffing (polyfil, etc.)

• Tapestry needle

• Stitch markers

Abbreviations

sc - single crochet

inc - single crochet increase

dec - single crochet decrease

slst - slip stitch

cc - color change

fo - fasten off

Head

These rounds will be done in white (make sure to stuff as you go!)

R1: 6sc in mr (6)

R2: 6 sc inc around (12)

R3: 12 sc inc around (24)

R4: (3sc, 1inc) x 6 (30)

R5 - R9 : 30 sc around (4 rounds)

CC Rounds:

R10: 6 sc (white), 3 sc (black), 4 sc (white), 3 sc (black), 14 sc (white) (30)

R11: 5 sc (white), 4 sc (black), 4 sc (white), 4 sc (black), 13 sc (white) (30)

R12: 5 sc (white), 4 sc (black), 4 sc (white), 4 sc (black), 13 sc (white) (30)

These rounds will be done in white

R13: 30 sc around (white)

R14: (3sc, dec) x 6 (24)

R15: (2sc, dec) x 6 (18)

R16: (1sc, dec) x 6 (12)

Tapestry needle time!

Embroider eyes onto the black patches between rounds 10 & 11 in white yarn

Embroider a nose between rounds 12 & 13 in black yarn

FO by doing 6 dec around and leave a long tail for sewing :)

LEGS (Make 2):

R1: 6 sc in mr

R2: 6 inc (12)

R3 - R6: Sc around (12)

Cut the yarn and make a 2nd leg (DON’T cut the yarn after the 2nd leg)

Now we will make the body! ᕦʕ •ᴥ•ʔᕤ

- While keeping your hook on the 2nd leg, insert your hook into the last stitch of the

1st leg and do 1 sc.

- After that mark it with a stitch marker and do 12 sc around.

- Continue doing 12 sc across onto the 2nd leg.

⚠️NOTE: There will be color changing involved in these rounds!

Now we will start R1 of the body (make sure to stuff as you go!):

R1: 24 sc around (24) (On last stitch, cc to white)

R2 - R3: 24 sc around in white (24)

R4: (4sc, dec) x 4 (20) (this worked)

R5 - R7: 20 sc around (20)*

*On the last stitch in R7, cc to black

R8: (3sc, dec) x 4 (16) (black)

R9: (2sc, dec) x 4 (12) (black)

R10: 12 sc around (12) (black) 

Sew the body and the head together!

EARS (Make 2):

R1: 6sc in mr (6)

R2: 6 inc around (12)

R3: 12 sc around (2 rounds)

R4: 5sc closed across

Leave a long tail for sewing for both

ARMS (Make 2):

R1: 4sc in mr (4)

R2: 4 inc (8)

R3 - R8: 8 sc around (5 rounds)

Now sc the sides closed and make another arm :)

Leave a long tail for sewing for both

TAIL:

R1: 6 sc in mr (6)

R2: Slst and tie a knot to secure it then cut the yarn tail.

After that, grab a hot glue gun and glue the tail on round 2 of the body.

ASSEMBLY:

ARMS:

Now sc the sides closed and make another arm :)

Sew both arms on round 8 of the body

EARS:

Sew between rounds 4 & 8 of the head
